Samsung’s 2026 Micro RGB LED TVs are moving from the big screen to living rooms.

After unveiling the massive 115-inch Micro RGB TV this past August (The Verge coverage: https://www.theverge.com/news/758063/samsung-micro-rgb-tv), Samsung today announced that Micro RGB technology will scale down to smaller sizes. The lineup will span from the enormous 115-inch model down to consumer-friendly 55 inches, making these advances far more accessible for typical living rooms.
The new Micro RGB TVs will come in 55, 65, 75, 85, 98, and 100-inch options, expanding alongside the existing 115-inch MR95F. Full pricing and release dates are expected to be announced at CES in January.
At present, these are the smallest Micro RGB displays showcased by a major brand. LG recently revealed its own Micro RGB Evo LED TV lineup in 75, 86, and 100 inches (coverage here: https://www.theverge.com/news/844885/lg-micro-rgb-evo-led-tv-ces-2026). The Hisense RGB mini-LED lineup includes the 116UX as its flagship size, while TCL’s Q9M RGB mini-LED’s smallest US-release size is 65 inches (article here: https://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1758273196). Details on US availability for Hisense and TCL models remain to be confirmed.
Naming conventions for what constitutes “mini” versus “micro” RGB LED technology aren’t strictly standardized. Samsung clarifies that the individual red, green, and blue LEDs within each cluster measure under 100 micrometers (μm) in diameter—smaller than a human hair’s width and far finer than a typical dust particle reference (source: orders of magnitude in length). By using red, green, and blue LEDs as the backlight—instead of the white or blue LEDs common to most LED TVs—along with a color filter, these displays achieve improved color purity and brighter, more saturated images.
