College Swimming Weekly Preview: November 3-9
With just two weeks until the midseason, the swimming calendar is buzzing with action. This weekend promises an exciting lineup of dual meets, with a particular highlight being the Raleigh Rumble. This event features a thrilling triple-dual meet between NC State, Virginia Tech, and Ohio State, all ranked in the top 25.
The women's teams are ranked as follows: NC State at #7, Ohio State at #12, and Virginia Tech at #19. On the men's side, NC State leads with a ranking of #6, followed by Ohio State at #13, and Virginia Tech at #21. Kyle Sockwell is expected to attend the meet, adding to the excitement.
In another highly anticipated rivalry, Kentucky will travel to Louisville. Last year, Louisville dominated the meet, winning both the men's and women's categories. The men secured a 192-108 victory, while the women's team prevailed with a score of 206-94.
Cal will host a triple distance meet with Stanford in attendance. This marks the second meeting of the year between the two teams, with Stanford emerging victorious in their previous encounter. The men's team won 218-132, and the women's team earned a 194-154 win.
