But here's where it gets controversial... A suspect was captured on CCTV, walking away from Jennifer's car, a black 2004 Chevrolet Malibu. The footage, though, was too blurry to identify the person, and their face was obscured. However, Mr. Kesse, Jennifer's father, believes that AI technology might just be the key to unlocking this mystery. He hopes to enhance a picture of the suspect's ear, a unique identifier that could finally lead to an identification.
Mr. Kesse shared his hopes with Sky News, "We have a clear image of someone who abandoned Jennifer's car. It's a grainy image, captured by an older camera. NASA even enhanced it, but AI technology has advanced so much since then. We're working with an AI company to clarify the ear in that picture. An ear, just like eyes, fingerprints, or DNA, can be a powerful identifier. We're keeping our fingers crossed."

They've pursued every lead, even suing the Orlando Police Department for lack of progress and accessing thousands of pages of case files. In 2022, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) took over the case and found DNA evidence from Jennifer's car that had gone untested for almost two decades.
Mrs. Kesse, who was a nurse at the time, said, "We will never give up the search for Jennifer. While my husband believes she's no longer with us, I hold onto a small glimmer of hope that she could still be alive. Finding Jennifer would bring an end to almost 20 years of ambiguous loss. We want the world to know that she is still missing, and we're doing everything we can to bring her home."
